Our first visitors (and our trip to the OBX)

My parents had been visiting the past week-- IT WAS GREAT!
We spent four days at The Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach and the other three days checking out the things to see right here in Durham. Evey loved having them around and even learned to say their names (Papa G and Nana) while they were here.

Nana and Papa G swinging Evey. Pure joy for all three.

The sunrise at Myrtle Beach. Evey woke up very early that morning (and it's a good thing or we would have missed this)!

Hatteras Lighthouse, North Carolina's tallest.

Stripped down to the diaper for a quick swim on Ocracoke Island.

Walking in circles. What to do? What to do?

Dad, Mom, Lincoln, Evey, and Me in front of the Bodie Lighthouse.
During the days we spent in Durham we went to Bennett Pointe (site of the Civil War's largest surrender), Stagville Plantation (largest plantation in NC prior to the Civil War), Duke Homestead (Tobacco museum), and Duke Gardens. One morning we headed North to visit my sister who is living in Richmond this summer. It was her birthday so we took her out to breakfast. And, nearly every evening we played intense Pinochle games. Come to find out, my parents are still the best.
