Easter

This was our first year to dye eggs with Evey. She loved to color on them before throwing (yes, throwing-- it was a mess) them into the cups of dye. She also did some decorating with stickers. All was going well until we tried to put the little plastic covers over some of the eggs. The eggs we had were too big so we had to improvise. I gave one of Evey's eggs a "hat"-- she hated it. That's when we stopped the activity.

We also did a little egg hunt in the front yard. Evey was so focused on collecting the eggs that she didn't smile for even one of the 20+ pictures I took.

Evey's eye is on the prize.

The basket is starting to fill.

After all eggs were collected the eating began. Evey's favorite, the rice-crispy treats. My favorite, jellybeans! She was good to share with me.

This last picture is to show the "war wounds" on Evey's knees. Egg hunts can be hard (and hazardous) work.
